Today, Hasan Vs Goliath officially announces the forthcoming release of Dirty Jazz Volume Two — the highly anticipated follow-up to 2024’s Dirty Jazz Volume One. Building on the project’s genre-defying debut, this next installment promises to push the fusion of jazzy hip hop, future jazz, and electronic (Jazztronica) textures even further into uncharted sonic territory.

Following the success of Volume One, which introduced soaring saxophones, pounding drums, and layered synth backdrops in a vivid, unpredictable soundscape, Dirty Jazz Volume Two expands the vision with rawer beats, bolder horn arrangements, and deeper experimentation. And a few guest appearances.

The Evolution

Dirty Jazz Volume One laid the foundation with tracks like “Descendants of Drum (DOD)”, featuring scratches by Canada's Chaps @chapsisrockinit, known for his work on UMFM 101.5 Winnipeg and CFCR's Third Verse. And “HipBop” bridging underground hip hop and traditional HardBop Jazz with modern jazztronica. The project combined turntables, programmed percussion, and instrumental interplay to create a fresh context for jazz in the digital space.

With Volume Two, Hasan Vs Goliath is set to raise the stakes — intensifying the collision of hip hop, lofi, soul, easy-listening and electronic fusion, while amplifying the smoky, late-night energy that defined the first record.

This led to a spot on the underground classic compilation "The Persecution of Hip Hop," alongside Vaste Aire and Anticon members. In 2003, Usephasan released the 19-track album "Scienc.Esquizit." It featured the track "Periodic Tables." Chuck D of Public Enemy praised it as one of the top 100 MP3s of 2000.
